Montez “Coach Tez” Swinney is originally from Atlanta, Georgia. He is an Dunwoody High School alumni who played football, basketball, and ran track.

Coach Tez attended University of The Cumberlands and earned a degree in Exercise Sports Science. He was also a student athlete and played football for the Cumberlands, winning back to back conference championships. He earned a Masters of Science in Recreation and Sports Science from Ohio University. In addition to coaching girls lacrosse, he is the JV football and Girls Flag Football head coach.

 

Coach Tez is entering his fourth season as the head coach of the varsity program. Coach Tez's goal is to help young athletes discover the same passion that he has for sports and life. He loves coaching lacrosse and loves sharing his passion with the his girls and coaches. Coach Tez has been dedicated to helping guide the growth for lacrosse at Dunwoody High School. He started the JV program 2 years ago and he looks forward to building a lasting and successful program that is sustainable for years to come.
